We offer fully furnished, shared semi-independent accommodation with on-site 24hr staff support.

The young people we accommodate, and support have varying needs which may include:

  • Children Looked After
  • Mental health disorders
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Substance abuse
  • Victims of abuse
  • Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC)
  • Young people released from custody (YOS)
  • Young Parents

We ensure that young people are able to develop and maintain respect, self-reliance, and self-care skills and enable them to make informed, age-appropriate decisions, concerning their present and future so they can achieve a successful transition into independence and adulthood.

Preparations For Adulthood – In detail…

All young people have tailor made Care Plans and Pathways to Independence support plans. The Pathways to Independence are a flexible framework for young people, carers and workers which highlights the knowledge and skills we believe our looked after children and care leavers need as they move towards adulthood and eventually full independence

Our Staff will work with the Young Person and Social Workers in implementing the Pathways to Independence .This will focus on the following Areas

         Managing finances

         Health Lifestyles

         Education, Training and career guidance

         Housekeeping and Accommodation

         General Life Skills

         Being a citizen and legal rights

Sometimes young people need to rebuild their relationships with their parents, family or other carers and at Animate Care we help them to do so. Where appropriate, we actively encourage those in our care to maintain, improve and preserve their relationships.

Our highly skilled staff not only aim to meet the developmental needs of each young person in our care, but through the use of individual assessment, support, mentoring, and restorative practice techniques, also strive to explore and address each young persons unique and individual needs.  We also seek to improve outcomes through comprehensive support planning, and bespoke key-working and mentoring programmes, which are designed to assist our young people in reaching for the stars, and achieving their goals and aspirations.
